Barkis Breakdown: I’m noticing a common theme this legislative session

In this edition of the Barkis Breakdown, Rep. Andrew Barkis, R-Olympia, talks about House of Origin cutoff and aa few bad bills that passed off the House floor. He discusses House Bills 1091 (low-carbon fuel standard), 1076 (qui tam/whistleblower and worker protections), and 1236 (forced lease renewal). These bills have a common theme: more regulations and more burdens on the citizens and businesses throughout Washington state who continue to struggle under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also talks about House Bill 1553 – the Republican Open Safe, Open Now plan which would move the state immediately into Phase 3 and beyond.
