Rep. Andrew Barkis: “We disagree vehemently on the methodology by which we are proceeding and putting together another piece of policy we’re going to need to fix.” | Remarks on final passage of House Bill 2119 in the House Transportation Committee

On Tuesday, Feb. 22, the House Transportation Committee held an executive session for House Bill 2119, one of the policies within the Democrats' Move Ahead Washington transportation plan. Rep. Andrew Barkis, R-Olympia, offered the following remarks before the bill passed out of committee. He reiterated the call to work in a bipartisan manner, rather than the current one-sided approach, to ensure our state's transportation system, and the revenue to fund the system, works for all Washingtonians.
